Barely 5 km from the Fjellkysten is Sagelven caves. About 20 different caves formed by Sagelven journey through the soft limestone and sandstone that dominates the area.
The experience of being underground in total darkness for a very special feeling. Inside the caves you can apply different experiences. Climbing and ce measuring through narrow passages. Challenges in getting across a river inside the cave which occasionally runs quite
fought. Or the ultimate, to climb down and under a waterfall inside the cave and then come out somewhere else.
In winter you can experience the fantastic ice formations inside the cave. The moist air and steam from the river that flows through the cave makes it builds up the most amazing ice sculptures. This in itself is worth experiencing.
